Rooms clean and comfortable. Staff friendly, polite and kind. Breakfast and dinner delicious. Lovely to see Christmas decorations, especially in the end restaurant, which sometimes feels a little plain.

Absolutely stunning from start to finish. I had the joy of one the apartments and WOW, wow, wow. It is breathtakingly styled, spacious, yet warm and cosy in November, with everything you could possibly need. Gorgeous decor, a kitchen you could whip up a storm in with lovely welcoming, socialising areas. Fluffy towels, the comfiest bed in a huge bedroom with gorgeous linens and a shower that feels amazing. Parking outside the apartment itself, just 10 mins from Norwich and with the loveliest food and drink available in the pub itself if you don't want to use the facilities of the apartment served by a dedicated and knowledgeable team who genuinely care. This place is outstanding in every way. I can't wait to go back.

Everything about our stay was excellent. The room was warm and cosy, comfortable bed and lovedcthe old beams. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We had a meal in the restaurant which we couldn't fault and breakfast was excellent. We will be back.

We stayed for our wedding night and booked well in advance. The website was comprehensive, informative and the pictures of our room did not do it justice. The team and the welcome were fantastic, the room was beautiful, and breakfast was sublime. It was a perfect way to end our special day. We will be most definitely be back.

Beautiful and well run gastropods. We stayed in an apartment also run by the The Kings Head which was spotless, spacious & very comfortable. Finally the food! Generous portions, well presented and above all well cooked. They have an amazing chef here. We experienced, breakfast lunch & dinner during our 2 day stay each was delicious. The wines by the glass were no cheap & cheerful offerings either. We had a NZ sauvignon and a rioja. All were served at a suitable temperature and were full bodied or fresh & golden. Friendly & knowledgeable staff. This was a great find & we aim to return when possible!

Continually return to the Kings Head and stay overnight. Rooms are always inviting and spotlessly clean. Staff are always welcoming and friendly. The main reason we return is the quality of the food. Never fails to meet expectations. Both evening meals and breakfasts are superb.

Our second stay at the Kings Head, Bawburgh, this time in the 4 person apartment and it was just as enjoyable as the first. All the staff were as welcoming, friendly and helpful as before. The apartment was attractively decorated and very spacious with a fully fitted kitchen which was handy for us when we wanted to self cater prior to our son's graduation. A celebratory lunch at the pub the following day was really delicious with hearty portions and with a great ambience. I have recommended the Kings Head to several friends already. The place was clean and the staff were very friendly! The hotel is in a lovely little village just off a major road! So was perfect if you’re visiting Norwich etc. Would highly recommend a stay or a restaurant visit as the food was amazing! The only thing i could suggest is probably a bit more clearer signage for the car park and main entrance. Other than that place was perfect and will definitely be booking again!

We stayed in apartment 1 for 3 nights. It was perfect, such lovely staff. We had dinner for 12 on the Friday night in the pub the food was excellent. We had preordered and it worked really well. We will definitely return.

The room as always was clean and lovely. The dinner was amazing. The full English was beautiful, I shared it with my husband as it was massive.

I enjoyed my stay, the room was super comfortable and also great food and beer. Will be back.

Stayed on Sunday night after a friends 60th birthday, for which the meal was amazing! The staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The room was beautiful and so clean. A fine touch with the decor. Then.. What a breakfast! Absolutely gorgeous! Thanks so much to all who made our one night stay memorable. We would love to return soon.

Great staff - amazing breakfasts - fabulous rooms. Its a great location also, I was visiting my daughter at UEA and the location is spot on, in the country but easy access to Norwich and surrounding areas

We stayed in Walstan, so quirky and beautiful. We loved the exposed roof beams and steps into the room. It was very clean and the huge bed was very comfortable. We even had our own entrance and staircase.

We loved it here, and will definitely return. Excellent food, lovely staff, and very charming and quirky rooms.

Hi we stayed in the apartment for 6 on sat 11th March. We really liked it, it was beautifully furnished and it was great to have a sitting room and kitchen area to chill out in before and after our meal at the pub. It was our son's 21st birthday and it made a very enjoyable place to stay and celebrate with the family. Also it was very handy for UEA. We really enjoyed our dinner at the Kings Head, great food and very friendly staff serving us and a very buzzy and relaxed atmosphere. I especially liked the pear tart starter. Breakfast was fab, v tasty and generous portions which set us up for the day. Thanks for a great weekend. P.s. I hope someone found and ate the unopened birthday cake we left in the kitchen! Great location to stay in relaxation before for the morning's short drive to a business meeting in Norwich... fuelled with one of the best Full English Breakfasts I've ever had!

We were made to feel welcome by all members of the pub and its restaurant. The breakfast was top class and evening meals delicious. The apartment was spacious and suited our short stay for the tennis tournament very well. We will recommend The King's Head to anyone who would like to stay in Norfolk.

We had such a lovely stay. The staff are very friendly and really went out their way to make our stay perfect. The food is delicious, we have allergies and it’s not always easy to eat in restaurants but almost nothing was off the menu which is testament to how freshly prepared the dishes are. Highly recommend this little gem.

Absolutely incredible! As it was our anniversary, the staff left rose petals all over our room and even decorated our table at dinner. The rooms are beautiful - we stayed in the attic room. The food is AMAZING! I couldn't recommend The Kings Head Bawburgh more!

We stayed in the 3 bed apartment. Absolutely spotless, lovely setting. The pub itself is gorgeous, tastefully decorated throughout and the food was absolutely gorgeous. All the staff were friendly, professional and helpful. 5* all round

Regularly stay at Kings Head, nearly weekly, when working in the area. Wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. Rooms very comfortable, clean and like home from home. Excellent food, good choices and lovely atmosphere in the restaurant. Staff always cheerful and helpful. Can't recommend highly enough.

Our visit was a birthday treat for me - a generous gift of overnight stay and breakfast We decided to book dinner as an “add on” The whole experience was really relaxed and enjoyable the staff were all really attentive and the whole building had a lovely vibe. We had a lovely evening when we stayed at the King’s Head. The staff were very polite, helpful and friendly. They kindly allowed us to bring our grandson for the evening meal then our daughter for breakfast which was a treat for them both. They live locally. The room was beautiful and felt special. We I’ll be staying here again. Oh yes and the medium full English breakfast he huge!!!

It was the best accommodation, with an amazing breakfast. It was a lot of food and sooo delicious. The stay was even better, we felt just like king and queen. The rooms looks amazing. We had one apartament and one double room, they layout was so impressive, the interior design of the rooms were so nice. All the staff were friendly, helpful and nice. Everything was perfect and all your staff were so pleasant . Our room was very clean with a really comfortable bed and lovely soft bedding. The large deep bath in the ensuite was a real treat. The food was exceptional and your staff were very helpful in finding us a quiet corner to eat with our daughter and new grandson. My husband is very particular about his beer and he thought that yours was the best that he has ever had in Norfolk - Encore, I think. Really appreciated your blazing fires and it was especially nice to see the fires lit for breakfast too as the weather was exceptionally chilly for April. Great cooked breakfast and lovely to have home made yogurt and compote too. So nice that you source your foods locally. Look forward to staying with you again soon.
